Epi 48: Just Heavenly!

Just Heavenly!

The name itself live up to it's expectations!!

Honestly, I'm not a cupcake fan...

But the cupcakes that they sell is SUPER DELICIOUS!!!

But they don't only sell cupcakes...

There's more but i only tried 2 kinds of cupcakes and a fruit kind cheese cake..

You can find it in Bangsar Shopping Centre!

It's very near Chillis and there'll be a both around there....

So, as long as you see this logo here....

Then you're at the right spot!

So brought some babies (desserts) home...

So the first kind is the cherry cheese cake....

The cheese cake is okay since it's actually made out of new york cheese cake at the bottom...

And the topping are filled with cherries (not fresh ones or they've somehow shrunk it a bit) and its syrup...

The syrup somehow was not my cup of tea....

It's kinda sour though....

The next one is the Butter Scotch Cupcake!

The cream was kinda bitter and sweet at the same time...

Like you can actually taste the bitterness in the cream...

But you can still taste the butter scotch...

Also!

Be alarmed that taste of the cake is impressive!

Should try it! :)

Lastly,

THIS IS ONE OF MY WEAKNESS!!!!

The Red Velvet Cupcake!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Like it's a MUST TRY!!!!

The cream on top is Cream Cheese!

Which is not too cheesy which is perfect!

And it's not soooooo sweet!

The taste matches everything in it!

Though this cupcake is the most expensive amongst the rest in Just Heavenly..

RM 7.90 each

Even the Butter Scotch was slightly cheaper...

But it's worth a try....

LIKE SERIOUSLY!

I know I'm over doing post this but I HAVE TO!!

It's too good!

Food Tale: Epi 47 - I know I'm on a Diet~~~ BUT!!!

HIATUS MODE OFF!

Yeah!!!

I'm back!!! :)

This post is kinda similar to this one...

But!

This time i'm on a D-I-E-T!

Yes people~~~

Need a change for once to curb my eating habits but the difference is that i don't eat rice anymore~~~

Other carbs like French Fries or Bihun is where i CAN'T

say no to~~~

Though i try to limit myself~~~

Anyhow!

Had a quick lunch with Along just now and i can't resist the feeling of eating any creamy pasta!

And since SOUL'ed OUT is quite near, why not?

This time, there weren't many customers so all the attention was all on us!

Kudos for great service!!!

And the waiter was kinda charming too~~~

So on to the FOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD~~~

The first dish was the Salmon Alfredo like before but compared to the last time Along and i had our lunch there, the portion was bigger and the salmon had bigger chunks!

At first we thought that it was kind of a rip off but looking at the bright side, we plan to diet anyway~~~

The creaminess is still the same BUT it was bland~~~

I know it's like an insult to ask for salt especially for a dish that has sauce on it but hey,

My sister is paying for it, so it's up to the customer that they know if the taste is just enough or not~~

Thank god that the waiter was really helpful~~ :)

The next dish was the Char Kuey Tiaw!

All time fav of mine!

And it's simply delish!

Along with her Char Kuey Tiaw

And now the ala-ala Tatler look!

This baby had to be packed since we can't consume anymore~~~

Had a full stomach so had this for dinner~~~ :)

The croissant bread which is really fluffy and filling!

And the cheese is really creamy but there weren't enough salad but all in all it was okay :)

The ambiance is very soothing and a great place to hang out :)

Along with her BB~~

Had some issues with the menu though~~

Like 70% of the menu starts at 6pm!

Like ****!!!

And the ones that we plan to order is mostly from there so if you guys plan to have your lunch there, then don't be disappointed with the menu as i gave you guys a warning!

So the next time, hopefully i'll come when we're having dinner with the girls or something~~~

Food Tale: Epi 46: Bersahur dgn Ayam Penyet

Hi!

It's the Ramadhan month already!!!

And here's a special update on suhoor (sahur)!!!

There's this great place that has "Ayam Penyet" at Kampung Jawa / Padang Jawa!

If you're from KL, on your right will be Section 7 and UiTM right?

okay, just turn left if you're from KL and there'll be a traffic light. After that traffic light, just go straight and go to the fly over.(Beside the flyover will be Shid Seafood restaurant)

Then once you go down the flyover, take your first right and go straight till you see an Indonesian restaurant or gerai that has white grills.

And that'll be you stop!

Really wanted the home ambiance, you can get it here!

Btw, the sweet soy sauce above is the best!

It's even better than Jalen!

Had some snack before the main course!

For those who can't get enough of spicy food, sambal and whatever that's related to chilli...

This is WORTH IT!

The "Ayam Penyet"

It's like all other chicken but what's special is the sambal~~~

and that goes for the green chilli above~~

What's great about this place is that it's cheap!

I took the ayam penyet, sirap limau and you can add on rice as much as you want to!

That all adds up to RM 5!!!!!!!!

There's also Teh Botol, but guess that's around Rm 2 i guess~~~

If you don't want chicken, you can just change to catfish (ikan keli) or even dried meat (daging salai)~~~~

Food Tale: Epi 45: The Steamboat

If i can still recall, there's no point coming to this place

Sorry if i'm being rude but the fact is, it's BLUERGHH!

like SERIOUSLY!

We just wanted to have some steamboat and we were shopping around Ikea so we stop by there...

At first was kinda "jakun" having ur own mini steamboat unlike those big pots where you have to wrestle with others for those yummy fillings in it~~~

But once we taste the soup

but it was bland~~~~~~~~

Memang x bleh nak rase pape dah....

We took up the golden set!

That's the fish paste

You kinda have to scrape it with the given spatula....

We even ordered friend chicken wings and it's not even edible!!!

And there's not much salt!

Cakap sotong goreng tepung

Tapi cam sotong goreng kerak yg tak sedap!

I dunno what else to say but it's a lesson kearned~~~

Food Tale: Epi 44: The Loaf @ Pavillion (Bistro)

The Bistro version of The Loaf serves great food!

At first didn't have much thought on what's nice there when i saw the menu~~~

But when i tried their patties, it was tasty enough for me to order more!

The entrance at the level above....

And there was someone unexpected that was there~~~

Oh well, you might have guessed it...

But i was i awe when i saw the husband in real life.....

No wonder she married him~~~~

He's actually good looking for a middle-aged man, that is!

so back to where we were.....

Tweety was kinda cranky that day since he didn't have the adequate sleep that he was supposed to have~~~

Couldn't resist of not taking a picture of him like this!

It's just too cute!

Luckily, somehow there was a birthday lunch near our table~~~

And one of them gave Aisy a piece of the cake!

See how his face lit up?

But somehow it wasn't his taste~~~

He didn't even taste it after the first bite~~~

So when we were waiting for our lunch, he practically did some wackiness of his own~~~

The Kofta Lamb Sandwich!

The pattie is sooooooo JUICY!

and it blends so well with the sauce given!

The bread was soft too!!

The Caesar salad was good too!

Too bad it came after the main dish~~

This is the best one so far~~~

The bacon twist is not even heavy or even light!

It's just even and it matches well with everything!

A must try there!!!

Okay, ni mengada je lebih!

Waiting for the Cajun Chicken Sandwich~~~

And WALLAH!

The chicken was okay~~

but there was too much turmeric on top of the chicken~~~

The prices above ranges about RM 26....

Can't remember about the salad and the Cajun Chicken though~~

Oh, and btw~~~

Food Tale: Epi 43: S0uled OUT @ Hartamas

Just finished lunch at SOULed OUT @ Hartamas with Along~~~

At last!

Dining out is what I've been waiting for the past few weeks after Finals!

*Overjoyed*

In any case, i didn't get the chance to bring my camera since i was busy doing some errands before picking up Along at her office~~~

So here's the menu~~

Along took the Dragonfly which is their signature fruit juice there~~

And i took the Apple Tropics~~~

For the dishes, Along took the Chicken Chop which is really good BTW!

Our starters which is really creamy!

The Alfredo is really awesome but it's just that it makes you kinda queasy~~~~

but in the end we managed to finish it!

And my dish which is the Lamb Shank!

Like always the meat is tender but the gravy was not that satisfying~~~

We sat at the Mezzanine which is the air conditioned area upstairs but you can get the idea how this place is here~~~

Food Tale: Epi 42 - Meatworks

Somehow my parents thought of eating some steak...

Unfortunately, they didn't....

But i did....

It was really exciting cause my last steak was like waaaaayyyyyy back a few years ago....

Based on my dad, this restaurant belongs to either Sharizat Abdul Jalil's husband.....

Which now kinda belongs to his daughter...

If i'm not mistaken...

The ambiance is really cool.....

Maybe it's the trend in restaurants to showcase how their work of art to the public with glass?

Or is it for their own convenience?

You can basically find it at Solaris Mont Kiara....

Like in my last post for Tenji....

It's right in front of Cold Storage near the mini roundabout.....

Both of my parents ordered burgers.....

My mom took the Hot BTL burger....

She said the bread was nice since she's a bread lover....

But she's not really keen on the pattie.....

While my dad took the Portobello burger....

Portobello really reminds me and my parents of the india community in UK where we would buy A & W root beer where it's really rare and the Pakistan Mangoes....

The difference with the burgers is that the BTL had salami on it and the Portobello one had cheese and mushrooms on it.....

Now here's my steak.....

Can't remember the name but it's the top of the list of steaks that they have in the menu....

Basically we ordered it well done but knowing meat, it's really hard to make it well done....

Since the chef always focus on making the meat tender....

They gravy was okay la......

Same goes to the meat....

Just the fact that i gave two chunky slices to my dad and a slice to my mom....

Tried to feed them more of mine but even they can't handle their burgers....

In the end, i had to finish this off on my own......

My tummy on the other hand...

was on the edge of bursting!!!

Seriously....

If you plan to take up the steak all by yourself...

Just make sure you have a hungry tummy.....

I know that i promised that i'll update about Christmas eve~~~

And so we ended up with a Chinese Muslim Seafood Restaurant

Which stays the same since the time Along first came there....

Just a normal family restaurant with good food~~

Paku pakis serve with little amount of coconut's milk~~~

A lil sweet and sour fusion goin on there~~

Deep Fried Fish in Soya Sauce and Garlic Oil!

Ikan Siakap i guess~~~

But the crunchyness and the sauce really goes together~~~

Like i WANT MORE!!!

Sadly to say, there were too much food~~

So tapau je la tuk Angah~~~

Feeling hungry?

And it's never complete if there's no Sotong Goreng Tepung~~~

The sauce totally complements the fried squid~~~

Its not too oily yet the feeling of the sauce is light~~~

For me, it's easy to go there since it's quite near my place.....

...but if you plan to park outside, it's basically like Bangsar where it's impossible to find one unless you're really lucky......

So just park inside instead coz the parking is just RM 1.......

But it's soft and full of lemak....

And the lime really complements the fish....

Food Tale: Epi 37 - Porto Romano

Porto Romano....

It's just beside Wendy's at Mont Kiara....

Just the perfect place to relax and spend some time with your friends.....

For me the place is kinda relaxing....

How it looks form outside.....

Kinda plain right?

While the inside is filled with retro pictures!

But it's kinda dark an solemn so we move out to eat outside....

Just took an appetizer....

Coz we didn't have much time, so i basically took something simple....

But it's really quite normal...

Nothing extraordinary....

But Zul's Lamb Shank that he ordered is to die for!

The meat is really tender....

You don't even have to use the knife to cut the meat off....

And the sauce is another thing.....

It just blends with the meat well......

Owh....

And the waiter don't waste their food....

They just give some of their food to the cats...

Which for me, is really sweet of them....

Food Tale: Epi 36 - Geng Restaurant

Hi!!

Looks like i'll be taking months to actually do a post....

But whatever it is, i'll try my very best to find food that's worth trying or not worth your while.....

Here's an Upin and Ipin Special:

The Geng Restaurant!

Like i said before....

It's situated behind Tesco Extra in Shah Alam at Section 13 as stated below....

To all the mummy and daddy out there!

Do NOT be FOOLED by it's appearance!

It may be a good place for a day trip to the Studio if you know how to get in here.....

But.....

Not here.....

I know the menu is TOO CUTE to be true......

(hey, even i myself was in awe when i stepped into the restaurant!)

But for all you know.....

The restaurant's service is kinda slow.....

Like this guy at the menu here.....

But if you wanna talk about the presentation, it's quite okay.....

It may even make you eyes pop-out!

Like my "Jakun" self here!

Even the toilet from outside looks presentable...

And of course there was a few tries.....

About the food.....

We ordered Char Kuey Tiaw that was a lil too salty for us....

Along with their Tom Yam.....

That was "ok lah" dish....

Basically, by this time, we were practically stuffed with the meals we ate from Kaseh.....

And here's my trusty companions!

Restaurant Kaseh.....

Might look like Laseh...

But it's actually Kaseh......

Fatin and Fiza before entering the place...

It's situated behind Tesco Extra at Section 13, Shah Alam......

It's basically a love theme restaurant....

Look!

Even the menu is heart-shaped!

Overall the theme is nice...

And it's great if you plan to binge!

Now you know where to find it!

But it's quite near to Geng Upin & Ipin Restaurant.....

But that will be in another post!

Fatin ordered the fried squid in tempura....

Fatin and i basically took the same thing which is the Lamb Chop...

Fazlan took a humonguos Chicken Chop!

It's big right?

But Fieza took the best part...

Which is the steak....

The meat is much more softer though....

Food Tale: Epi 34 - The best ikan bakar in town!

I'm sure many of you know of this place....

Especially on those whom are working and would usually come to this place to have their lunch......

But i really lvoe this place for it's Ikan Pari Bakar.....

Along with their sauce which tops up the whole taste of the fish......

It's very near Bukit Aman and Masjid Negara......

And it's just beside Methodist Girls School....

There'll be a stall at the very right of the place that serves Ikan Bakar....

Mar-ve-lous!

There's no other words to describe it!

On the other hand, don't be fooled...

Coz this Ikan Bakar will eventually set ur tongues and your reseptors asking for 2 sets of drinks!

If not, more!

Jaga-jaga ckit la....

Coz on that day, i was too excited until i ordered extra sauce just in case it was not enough.....

Nasib baik we somehow took two drinks at once, but it really helped us A-LOT!

So, when we're done with puasa, be sure to check this place out during lunch hour....

As long as it's before 5pm....

Food Tale: Epi 33 - Vienna Bagels

I admit that i'm more into Donuts than Bagels....

But i'd like to show you guys Vienna Bagels....

It's not as soft as Big Apple or J'Co Donuts.....

But there's no harm trying......

You can find it at One Utama on the same row as Cinnabon and Auntie Anne's...

A wide range of Bagels.....

To tell you the truth, it's a bit harder than what i thought it would be....

The taste on the other hand is not bad....

More like a twist roll...

Try the ones with chocolate.......

But i'll rate it as a 'Ok'.....

This is just my review.....

Try it if you like.....

Coz my friends are kinda into it than Big Apple or J'Co.....

Food Tale: Epi 32 - What's in the box 2!

This is my 2nd post so far bout what's in the box....

Since Angah came back from Glasgow & London a month ago....

(i know i haven't been updating! It's because of the tests and quizzes! So far, i'm having a bit of a trouble with accounts since i don't have any basics and the way the lecturer is teaching...... Any uitm students who's currently in part 1, please suggest another accounts lecturer ASAP!)

So here it goes!

With angah's contribution to buy all of this to give it to her colleagues.....

I did my snapping before she gave it to them......

Cheap yet desirable.....

But unavailable in Malaysia....

Who wouldn't love Bing cherries?

Remember a past when i actually went to a cherry orchard.....

A ten out of ten for Scottish when it comes to chocolates!

And you know what?

I definitely agree with them!

It's not bars like what cadbury is doing....

It's actually squares of chocolates.....

If any of you played chocolatier, you know what i mean.....

Good for watching a movie!

Food Tale: Epi 31 - Yo! Sushi

I distinctively remember about getting free stickers of Yo! Sushi from Selfridges....

Their mascot was a cute girl like Dora the Explorer on that was she's i a Japanese version of it....

An basically, we would buy the sushi after 6 pm coz that's when they discounted most of the Sushi!

They're really one of a kind back then.....

Only now you can get it cheaper with Tesco and Jusco around in Malaysia.....

And so here me recalling my "Kanak-Kanak Ribena Days".......

Ate it at The Gardens/ Mid Valley....

Slicing some Salmon Sashimi!

Do grab it once they're doing this and make sure that it a bit cold than the usual one coz it's fresh than the ones that are displayed....

Food Tale: Epi 30 - Durian Fixation!

A couple of weeks ago, manage to finally balik kampung to bring back home some durians.....

And a bit of Buah Kundang which is uberly sweet!

But this was for the 1st week....

The week after sangat lah memuaskan....

Though the 1st week was still the best!

Coz most of them weren't made into tempoyak.....

Byk kan?

I'm basically addicted to tempoyak nowadays ever since my arwah wan's brother, Tuk Chik sedekah some of his homemade Tempoyak.......

It's not masam at all......

I personally like durians that are sweet and sweet yet has a touch of bitterness in it....

So what's your durian story?

Note: sorry for those yg kat uitm......

i plan to bring some the 2nd week but most of them were made into tempoyak....

Food Tale: Epi 29 - Venecia

When you can just find it in Selayang...

I'm talking bout Venecia....

My Angah introduced this place as as Consultants and Head of Department of Selayang Hospital would usually bring their guest....

Like if there's a course about a particular disease or even some drug company marketing their medicine....

Enough about that....

Back to Venicia people!

If i'm not mistaken, it's at Casa Milla.......

Basically kne bayar klau nak masuk Casa Milla tu....

But maybe my sister is a member there, so xyah nak bayar entrance fee....

N stakat tunjuk lesen memandu je...

This uncle right here is the one who recommends the best!

We wanted to try the Nyonya style for the main dish which is the fish.....

But it was out of stock because the day before was Saturday.....

And they didn't manage to go to the wet market on that day....

So we tried the Thai style....

Which is like sweet and sour style....

Not bad actually.....

Tookm some Chinese Fried Rice...

Not tomyam but mushroom soup i guess...

The soup had some oyster sauce in it....

and some Butter prawns....

We came there for the Nyonya Style for the fish but since it wasn't there, mungkin xde rezeki masa tu.....

Oh, n please note that they close on Tuesdays Only......

Food Tale: Epi 28 - Chewy Junior

Cream puff that's better than Beard Papa!!!

U can find it at Pavillion at the same level as J.CO Donuts....

So basically it's 9 cream puffs for only RM15!

Oh, there's this one time where i went to Jakel at Jalan TAR.....

Then there's this particular promoter where she's pretty good in choosing some linings for chiffon materials.....

She was practically hungry and eyed on the cream puffs since i came from Pavillion before going there.......

And there was another promoter that's kinda interested to buy the Cream Puffs from me...

Okay la....

Lebih RM 5 je die offer.....

Of course i xnak!

It's been ages since i could finally have a taste on the normal sized cream puffs!!

So imagine how eye-catching it is when they saw this!

But i prefer the mini ones coz the cream has a much more richer taste than the normal sized ones....

Like this one!

It's the best one there is!

So klau lunch hour kat pavillion tu, pegi la try sekejap.....

Food Tale: Epi 27 - Philippines!

I tasted my first Krispy Kreme Donuts at the Philippines....

(I know that it's weird or whatever yo'd like to comment.....)

Of course i can just buy it at Berjaya Times Square but i didn't have the chance to go there......

Only when i came back to Malaysia that i realised the Krispy Kreme at Mid Valley is already open....

I tried two kinds of Donuts.....

Yahoo! Purple Donut.....

Maybe extracted from Yahoo! site....

And Chocolate Iced Custard Filled Donut....

I'm just posting about them coz maybe they don't sell those kind of Donuts here in Malaysia....

Comment me if they don't.....

You can actually find this Halal Restaurant at Greenbelt....

Not sure which greenbelt building but try to ask around....

It's the only Halal Restaurant there.....

Not sure if the owner of the Whole Gilak Restaurant is sane when thinking of a name for it....

We tried the hummus!

I've been dreading to find really fine hummus after coming back from London years ago....

And i can only find it at the Philippines!

Added with they Nan to go with the Hummus!

Just make sure that when you see the cloth that the Nan is there coz only at the last minute after ordering the kebabs that we realised that they actually served it along with the Hummus

And Kebabs.....

Tried the Shish Kebab.....

Not bad actually....

Over at Greenhills, there two are places that serve Halal food...

The first was a place that after we bargain with the pearls, the shop owner escorted us to the Halal restaurant.......

What's more surprising about this place was that they serve Ali Cafe and some Masak Lemak as well!!!!

See the red circle at the middle?

There's packs of Ali Cafe there!

And at the counter as well!

I;m not so sure what the dish is but it's meat....

Though there's weren't much meat....

Some even had the fat stuck to it....

Yet it's not that edible.....

The masak lemak here is not that KAW or thick enough....

But the fish is a whole different story coz it's actually fresh....

So this was actually okay....

The second Halal option there is KFC.....

But be careful coz Greenhill has two KFCs there....

Try to ask around the place of which KFC is Halal....

But it's surprising to see that the menus are slightly different than the ones at Malaysia....

Took the Fully Loaded Meal.....

Has Brownies.....

Sedap!

Packed rice.....

The portion was kinda small though.....

And Mini Buckets of fries.....

The good thing about it is that the sauce that they serve is the Mashed potatoes one....

But with less MSG added.....

Also, the fries taste like wedges rather than the normal thin fries.....

Seattle's Best Coffee.....

I would rate this Coffee shop better than Starbucks!

Seriously!!!

With brownies on top!

Mango juice that's uberly delicious!

And the Java jelly.....

We also tried the one with Cinnamon but the taste is totally weird.....

(sorry... No pics of that...)

Here's the sad part about the Philippines line.....

Their phone lines and the internet connection sucks......

Of course Seattle's Best Coffee provide Free Wifi....

Let alone using Mac Desktop as their getaway to the internet....

The thing is that you can use their free Wifi only if you purchase their drinks and only get an hour to surf......

An hour???

Even the Mamak here in Malaysia provide free endless time limit of Wifi.....

As for their Phone line, keep getting different kinds of phone lines after a few hours....

And it's quite hard to get the line to call or even to text someone.....

Last stop for food....

Which i ate at the airport.......

Starts and ends with donuts.....

Mister Donut......

But i'd say that Krispy Kreme is more popular......

But it's not that bad actually.....

Like Dunkin Donuts in Malaysia la....

The two donuts here are actually different....

One is thicker than the other....

And one had a more sweeter taste than the other....

Travel DIYs 1: Phillippines - Shopping Malls

Once u step into Makati City, there's gonna be shopping malls wherever you look!

Seriously!

From three different Robinsons Malls....

To SM Malls to SM Bowling Centre to SM Megamalls.....

(And all the other SM company....)

To Glorietta 1 to Glorietta 5....

(which is from the lowest brands to the Highstreet or even Boutiques)

To the 4th biggest mall in Asia which is called the Mall of Asia!!!

(Unluckily, i had no time to actually shop or even set foot on it....)

Sad right?

But i manage to actually shop mainly at Greenhill Shopping Center, Greenbelt, Glorietta and SM Megamall....

Note: SM Megamall is bigger than One Utama!

So imagine how Mall of Asia?

But we heard some news that it's better to check out Greenhills and Greenbelt....

But what makes Greenhills special is that it's like our very own Petaling Street......

Some even say that it's even better than Bandung coz everything is under one roof!

Instead of you have to travel to go to many different factory outlets and some you might not even find anything!

It's under a building so you won't have to worry about getting wet.....

And what's better about this place is that they sell Lacoste T-shirts that are real......

They are either overrun or rejected items......

It's just the same as F.O.S basically....

Oh, they also sell really cool indie T-shirts and crocs as well.....

If you're looking for jewelleries, Greenhills is the best place to buy pearls that are cheaper than the ones you come across Habib or any pearl shops for that matter......

There are two kinds of pearls....

One is the Fresh water pearls (Based on the picture above) where they comes from fresh water mussels.....

The other one is Deep Sea pearls.....

The difference between these two pearls is that the Deep Sea pearls are bigger!

And they have a better shine or luster than the Fresh water pearls.....

If in terms of is it more sphere, then you won't have to worry bout that....

Coz you can actually find that both have a perfect sphere....

It's the matter of quality, size and how far the two luster.....

Of course the Deep Sea pearls are better but you have to pay a hefty price for it......

But other than the normal market, it's better to buy it at Greenhills....

But don't be suprised if you ask the taxi drivers or even the hotel crew that you plan to go there,

they'll raise an eyebrow....

(They really do actually!)

They're reaction is like "Do you plan to go to "that cheap" place?"

And we're like "Because we've heard so much about it....."

And now the Taxi part.....

The hotel said that they can arrange the taxi for 800 pesos.....

That's too expensive!

So what we practically did was we went out of the hotel and just a few seconds, there was a taxi who's looking for a passenger.....

The taxi then charged 200 pesos.....

Which was like we saved up a quarter of what the hotel was charging us.....

Feeling happy a bit, we agreed and we're off to Greenhills.....

But when we're having a bargain with the pearls, they said that it only takes 100 pesos to get to Greenhills....

After hearing that, we're kinda pissed that we can actually get an eighth out of that 800 pesos for transportation......

As for Greenbelt, this is kinda like Pavillion or Bintang Walk in KL....

Only that it's better!

Like i said....

It;s like they rate the brands from 1 that is the highstreets to 5 to high end brands like Gucci, Prada, LV, Bottega Veneta etc....

This is Greenbelt!

And it's just a walking distance from the Dusit Thani Hotel actually....

Owh....

And they have the coolest restaurants at Greenbelt!

Sad to say that it's not Halal.....

There's only one Halal Resttaurant in Greenbelt....

That will be on the next Food Tale post!

Travel DIYs 1: Philippines - Dusit Thani

You can only find one hotel that serves Halal food in Makati....

That is Dusit Thani.....

But i didn't really had my meals there as there were other Halal eatery in Makati...

If there's a guard in any hotel, shopping mall, shops or any buildings, that means that you're safe.....

Without them, try not to go to that kind of destination......

The guards are there to check if there are any bombs around.....

So be kind enough to open you bags to show that's everything is okay.....

They're nice actually.....

Thank god that my sister has a room which she doesn't need to share....

I'm really sorry that i didn't take the picture of the room but the bed is Extra King sized!

It's enough to fit 3 people to sleep comfortably without worrying that you're gonna fall off!

As for everything else, it's just the same....

But i'm gonna rate the bed with 4 stars!!!

Travel DIYs 1: Phillippines - Airport

All i can for my travel experience in the Philippines is that it's too tiring.....

Let alone a 3 day 2 nights stay......

There's too much things to do yet too little time to travel the old Manila where you can experience the Spanish heritage....

But if you're looking for some budget travel, PLEASE DO NOT OPT FOR

AIR ASIA as your flight ticket....

Take Cebu Pacific Air instead....

Just click on the link.....

Why?

Because if you took Air Asia as your plane, your travel is gonna be like this....

A two to three hour travel to Makati....

Instead of this......

Which is like 15 to 45 mins away from Makati, the city.....

Even if Cebu Pacific Air is a few hundreds pricey, but it's worth it!!

Rather than a two to three hours in the bus until the last stop....

Owh, btw the bus ticket cost around 300 to 350 peso each!

That's like you can buy a ticket to Kedah for god's sake!

Around Rm26!!!

Added with that you have to take an EXTREMELY LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG QUEUE just to get a ticket at the MRT later, only then you arrive at Ayala......

Unfortunately for me, i took the Air Asia getaway to get to the Philippines.....

So i ended up at the Diosdado Macapagal in Clark......

Basically, after my flight, there weren't any other flights left.....

Going back to Clark was another problem...

My flight was at 12 i think...

And to get on the bus, you actually have to wake up early as 5 in the morning to get ready and go to SM Megamall....

The bus will be leaving at 6.30 am.....

The time when i took the picture above is actually 5.30 am!!!!

It's like 7.30 am in Malaysia!

Be sharp coz to get a seat is an issue coz there'll be other passengers that's gonna fight (literally) for seats as well...

After dozing off for 2 hours in the bus, and departing at the Diosdado Macapagal Airport, you basically have to wait till 9 am for the door to be open....

You can actually wait at a gazebo they set up for you....

I guess this is more of a park than an International Airport.....

Oh, do bring extra cash for the Airport tax as well.......

150 pesos for Domestic flights

600 pesos for International flights

This is for Diosdado Airport....

Ninoy Aquino Airport on the other hand, have to pay 750 peso for their International flight.....

So BEWARE!!!!!

Bring extra cash just in case.......

If you somehow ended up in Diosdado as well, and you don't feel like going through the bus scenario, the taxi only charges 3000 peso.......

Either the bus or the taxi....

Which one?
